Body Art

Okay, so I'm getting the kids ready to go to Target. I'm in my room getting dressed and getting Brett ready. This is what I see when I come out to the living room. Brady has covered himself in marker. Aggravation sets in because this is Brady's new favorite past time. He writes on something daily. For example, Sunday at church he was on his knees facing a chair coloring. He lays his head down and is looking to one side. We don't notice that he is covering his entire face in marker during sacrament. Anyways, back to my Target trip. He is covered from head to toe.

And I mean head to TOES. Every toe is colored.
After we talk and take pictures I give him a bath.
As I take him to the bath I notice the word COOL written across his back. HMMM - "Emily come here!"
She precedes to tell me she wrote Cool on his back and Rock On across his legs. If you look closely the rest of the writing is Brady writing Q's, T's, L's, and H's. Oh well, at least it was educational. On to Target for my next adventure!

Rain,Rain Go Away?

NO WAY!

Today we had a good ole Florida rain!

It reminded me of the rains we had when I was a little girl. A hard down pour of warm rain without thunder and lightning filled the streets in minutes.

Emily and Brady couldn't wait to get out and play. They had a blast running, jumping, and screaming in the rain.

It was so fun to watch their excitement and it brought back many memories of my brothers and sisters, and I playing in the rain.

SO FUN!

Fast Food Sunday

Boy do I feel like a failure.

Here is a conversation Emily and I had on the way home from church today.

Emily: I'm hungry! Can we stop and get some food?

Me: (Give her a strange look.) NO

Emily: I want to go to Checkers.

Me: No

Emily: Why? Today at church they said it was fast food Sunday.

Me: Burst out lauging - no it's fast Sunday.

Emily: What? Why are you laughing?

Me: Is that what you think fast Sunday is? You get fast food on Sunday?

Emily: She smiles and looks embarrassed-yes. Then she says does it mean that this Sunday goes by really fast?

Me: (Laughing) No, it means just the opposite - you don't eat all day and it makes the day seem really long!

laughed all the way home. Wouldn't that be great if fast sunday was really fast food Sunday!?

What am I thinking?!

Hi Everyone! I can't believe I am going to attempt this, but here it goes. I want to be part of the blogging world, but I just don't feel like I can do it. It's not just because of time and all of that. It's because I am not creative and I'm so NOT good at writing. I'm going to try. I'll start by posting a picture of Brett Dalton Widmann. He's 3 months old now and we can't imagine life without him.

He's wonderful and we're so in love!

So how does everyone like my first blog? I'm so mad right now because I can't not get the pictures to turn nor can I get it off of the words. I thought I will just wait until I can get someone to help me and then I thought no this will be better. Let everyone see how my first attempt at blogging went. Now let's hope it actually posts.
